The Department of Food Science, Food Quality Perception & Society Team at Aarhus University, Denmark, invites applications for an 18-month Research Assistant position within the area of Consumer Science and Public Engagement in relation to food. The research assistant position will be part of the Science Team ‘Food Quality Perception and Society’ at the Department of Food Science.

The position

The position is funded through Horizon European projects focused on Public Engagement and Living Labs in the area of Green transition and Sustainable Food System transformation approached by participatory science, multi-stakeholder engagement, science communication and behavioural food related interventions. The projects’ aims are to help design common multi-stakeholder solutions and develop impactful behavioural interventions in the area of food science targeted to the public that will enable a green food ecosystem transformation.

A candidate with previous involvement and experience in consumer science and public engagement research is sought to support our core team.

Considering the wider field of research, a background in food science, including food quality, sensory science and nutrition as well as good teamwork and networking skills would be central.
