CDFF 1st Symposium – Consumer Dimension of Future Foods Symposium

11 and 12 May 2022

This event is a collaboration between Massey University (Aotearoa New Zealand) and A*STAR (Singapore) as part of the Future Foods Catalyst research program.

CDFF 2022 stretches across Australasia and Europe, and will bring together researchers from both academia and industry to share their frontier research on the following themes: 

  • Consumer perceptions of future foods
  • Challenges in the production of plant-based products 
  • Consumer segments 
  • Nutritional aspects of plant-based products 
  • Peripheral factors impacting consumer perceptions 
  • Methods in consumer science 

CDFF is excited to have Dr Marleen Onwezen (Wageningen University) and Prof Dr Michael Siegrist (ETH Zürich) as our plenary speakers. 

Dr Onwezen is a social psychologist and researcher at Wageningen University & Research (The Netherlands). She will speak main drivers of acceptance, and relevant steps for more effective interventions to increase alternative protein consumption on day 1 (11 May).

Prof Dr Siegrist is a Professor in Consumer Behavior at the Institute for Environmental Decisions (Zurich, Switzerland). On day 2 (12 May), he will speak about barriers and challenges for consumers to choose meat alternatives instead of conventional meat products.
