A NEW POSITION IS OPEN AT THE INSTITUT PAUL BOCUSE RESEARCH CENTER, LYON
RESEARCHER – PERCEPTION AND COGNITION

Context

The Institut Paul Bocuse Research Center opened in December 2008 to conduct scientific research programs aiming at better understanding the pleasure of eating, the food and health links and the economics of the food service and hospitality sectors. The activity includes a doctoral program (~10 PhD students), research projects and applied studies.

Mission

Research: Conception and conduction of research projects studying meal perception and liking as well as food behaviour of various populations. Contribution and discussion of theoretical cognitive models. Scentific publications. Applied recommendations to industry, food service, public health…

Teaching: Supervision of Master students. Participation to Phd supervision committees. Contribution to doctoral workshops and to the scientific life of the research center.

Profile

PhD in Food science with a focus on cognition or PhD in Cognitive psychology with a focus on food. A post doctoral experience is a plus.

Good knowledge of concepts and methods of cognition and food behaviour. English. Oral French. Statistics.

Conditions

Starting date: beginning 2012. Annual salary 30k€ (including social taxes). First contract for 18 months then unspecified length (CDI) Possible university association depending on the profile.
