1) a PhD fellowship for a research project on Volatile Organic Compounds in cheese production chain (AL_03 – Volatile Organic Compounds in cheese production chain – VOCheese: FIRST CALL 2012)

The FEM International Research School-Trentino, FIRS>T, of the Fondazione Edumund Mach in San Michele all’Adige (Italy) is offering up to 21 PhD fellowships in the fields of: Environment, Agriculture, Food and Computational and Systems Biology. The VOCheese proiect (AL_03 – VOCheese) proposes to study the volatile organic compounds (VOC) released by cheeses manufactured in experimental and productive dairy plants and to investigate their role in sensory perception.

2) a Technologist for the FEM Sensory Laboratory (104_QAN_THSL)

August 2012, 15th

FEM is seeking an highly motivated and independent technologist that will be involved in the experimental activity of the “Sensory Quality” research group (http://cri.gmpf.eu/Research/Food-Quality-and-Nutrition/Sensory-Quality) and, in particular, in the investigation of food by sensory methods (trained panel and consumer panel) in order to understand and predict consumers’ choices.
