ANNOUNCING THE E3S STUDENT AWARDS

E3S STUDENT AWARDS 2014 – THE WINNERS

The European Sensory Society is pleased to announce the winners of the Student Awards are:

  • Virginie Pouyet, AgroParisTech/Centre de recherche de l’Institut Paul Bocuse, France, for her poster entitled:
    Influence of flavour enhancement on food liking and consumption in elderly depending on their cognitive status
  • Yuchi Shen, University of Reading, UK, for her oral entitled:
    Investigating the relationship between genetic and phenotypic measures of taste sensitivity and their impact on food perception, liking and choice
  • Grace Tan, Wageningen University, The Netherlands, for her poster entitled:
    Exploring the psychology and product factors underlying the acceptance and rejection of edible insects amongst Thai and Dutch consumers

Yuchi’s presentation presented on Monday 8 September at 11:15-11:30. Virginie and Grace’s posters will be displayed throughout the duration of the conference. Please take the time to congratulate them at the conference.

Details of the award: 3 awards of 1000 Euros are available to assist students giving an oral or poster presentation at Eurosense 2014

Closing date for applications: 4th April 2014

Eligibility: Applications are accepted from PhD students enrolled at Universities in E3S Member countries.

Application: A 1000 word extended abstract outlining the research to be presented, a short CV, and a supporting letter from a supervisor confirming eligibility of the student.

Submission: Applications should be made when submitting your conference abstract by email to Joanne.hort@nottingham.ac.uk

Conditions: Successful applicants will be expected to acknowledge E3S support on their presentation and submit a report, written in English, on their experience and the benefits of attending Eurosense. The report may be published at the discretion of E3S in its publications or on its website.
